Step 1 - Complete our secure and easy 5 minute application

We can only accept applications from private individuals who are 18 years old or over and resident in the UK (excluding Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man)

You will need the following:

  • National Insurance number if you are a non-tax payer
  • Your existing Capital One Savings account number (if applicable)

You will need to complete the account opening form within 20 minutes. After this time the application will time out and the information you have entered will be lost.

Step 2 - We'll write to you with further details withing 3-5 working days

Once you have completed the 5 minute application form, we will send you out a welcome pack within 3-5 working days. The welcome pack will contain all the information you need to complete the account opening process, including details on funding your account so you can start saving.

Step 3 - Start to manage your money online

As soon as you receive your account login and password, you are ready to manage your account online. The first time you login to your online account, you'll be prompted to change your password.

*AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and represents the interest as if it was paid and compounded each year.

† Base Rate means the Bank of England Minimum Lending (Repo) Rate which may either go up or go down and is currently 5.00%.
